10 obtain stock (approximate size)
20 using machinist's dye & scribe, lay-out dimensions
30 mount material into vise on horizontal drop-cutting bandsaw,
rough cut to finish size
40 using upright bandsaw, rough cut angle face
50 mount both pieces into vice on mill, square off all
perpendicular faces
60 re-mount pieces into vice and mill off angular face
70 using machinist's dye and scribe, locate hole centers
80 center punch to locate drill point
90 mount into vise on drill press and drill the two holes
100 using tap & tap handle, thread the holes
110 repeat the entire process for the other two jaws of the same
thickness
Stage Two

10 obtain bar stock
20 cut stock 1/8" larger than required
30 put the stock into the lathe chuck
40 face & center drill the end
50 reverse the piece in the chuck, face & center drill opposite
end
60 mount the work between centers
70 rough cut all diameters to within 1/32" starting with the
largest diameters
80 finish turn the diameters
90 do the knurling operation
100 do the threading operation
110 do any necessary deburring
120 repeat the entire process on all three remaining thumb screws
