Almost everyone has heard of the city of Babylon and recognizes the name of King Nebuchadnezzar. One of the most prevalent concepts people associate with the city of Babylon is its world famous Hanging Gardens. Since the time of the Greeks, people have been intrigued by this concept and it was declared as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. However, there is much more to the city of Babylon than just this. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the various monuments in and around the city of Babylon during the reign of King Nebuchadnezzar.
