Thought of the month

"A spoon full of sugar makes the bitterness go down...in the most delightful way."
Collin Rudnik zen master of all things sarcastic
I recently found the true meaning of this quote: Kool-Aid.  The exact measure of sugar per pitcher is actually two cups and not a spoon, but it does certainly make the bitterness go down.  My roommate Dale drinks on average a pitcher of this magic elixir every day and it seems to be the only thing that keeps his head from exploding.  In the past 50 odd hours he has slept about 3, and the future doesn't look much brighter.  Still, as long as you keep the Kool-Aid rolling in there would seem to be no end to the amount of suffering he can endure.  I my-self have tried his "sugar crack" as he calls it, and found myself in a insulin deficient coma for the next two hours.  When I came to the bitterness had left me and I was able to function long enough to finish my homework at  9:00AM.  While this may be a temporary solution to one's problems, I would not recommend becoming a junky, as long term exposure to the dyes used in this beverage can cause hallucinations and sterility.  You have been warned.

Book of the month

During the next month (April), I will be reading the The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemmingway.  When I am through, I will post a list of thoughts on the book and my overall rating.

Picture of the month

The following picture looks kind of like Steve Weltch (youth pastor from my home church).

Gun of the month

This is a link to a page devoted solely to firearms.  Each month I will choose one that I am particularly fond of and will write a brief  excerpt regarding its pros and cons.  In addition, this site contains cutaway drawings of both pistols and revolvers and other operating information which some may find interesting.

Dale Slotman's web page: Much better than mine and hilarious.

Matt Reimink's web page: Also better than mine, although he has Front Page instead of Netscape which helps.  This site also contains some unsavory stuff about me.  Anything he quotes me on is probably taken out of context.

Grand Valley State's web page: My school.

Kimber's web page: This is a high quality firearms manufacturer.  I have personally examined some of their products and can speak well of them.
