Once a year at Grand Valley, a robotics competition is held for the undergraduate students currently enrolled in the Dynamic Systems Modeling and Control class. The competition is different each year and has traditionally included an autonomous robotics challenge. Each year these challenges become more difficult and this year was no different. The website contained here outlines this year’s competition as well as the solution that we designed and built from the ground up. It is my hope that the information within these pages may help you in your study of basic robotics and controls.
The links at the top of this site will take you to the various pages contained here. I recommend starting at “The Challenge,” but feel free to jump to your topic of interest. Thanks and Enjoy!

Additionally, let me please acknowledge The GVSU College of Engineering and Computer Science for its support during this project as well as Dr. Hugh Jack, Dr. Nael Barakat and Dr. Andrew Sterian for their teaching savvy and technical expertise. Without their help, this project would never have succeeded.
