I am married with two children and live in Hudsonville, Michigan. I am a manufacturing engineer for a Norwegian company called Hydro Raufoss Automotive. It is an autonomous division of Hydro Aluminum which is one of the business divisions of Norsk Hydro ASA. Hydro is a worldwide company that is 51% owned by the Norwegian government and is involved in many fields besides automotive. The corporation produces oil, aluminum, magnesium, plastics, fertilizer and food from the sea, to name a few, and plants are located in almost every country of the world. There are a number of Hydro Aluminum plants in the U.S. as well. Hydro Aluminum in Adrian, Michigan produces forged aluminum products. HRHO (Hydro Raufoss Holland), as we are called, manufactures automotive products from aluminum extrusion for many U.S. and Asian companies. These products are usually bumpers, seat tracks, seat frames, etc. and all extrusion and fabrication is done in house.
I am a graduate of Grand Rapids Junior College and Western Michigan University, GO BRONCOS! and recently decided to return to school to improve my engineering skills. I am working on a Masters degree in Engineering (Manufacturing) at Grand Valley State University. My daughter Erika is also a student at GVSU in a bachelors degree program.
