DI:15.3 BASIC REQUIREMENTS OF CAD SYSTEMS

 

· A CAD System must,

  1. - Allow a user to input geometry, and other information
  2. - Provide methods for manipulating the geometry
  3. - Provide for display output for the user
  4. - Allow storage of the design in formats which can be used in other CAD and CAM packages

 

· There are other features of great value to a CAD system,

  1. - Don't forget the manuals, They can help get through the tough times. If not, you may spend a lot of money calling help lines.
