This problem consists of the modeling of a cam from the desired displacement curves given.

The general displacement curve can be found in the class notes.

The curves were modeled using the standard cam curves found in the book. The angles of rotation were solved for using the displacement curves given and the intial conditions.

The curves were also model with derived polynomial equations. The anlgeof rotation was solved for in Mathcad.

These equations were tansfered to Excel so that an ASCI file could be created. The ASCI file was transfered into AutoCad and the cam curve was drawn. This profile was imported into Working Model and the operation was created. A roller cam was also drawn and modeled.
