The scope of this project is to design and build
an automated testing machine for the application of office furniture testing.
The testing apparatus will be used to validate current functional design
concerns, as well as standard product validation. All testing performed
using this test cell will be required to conform to industry standards
outlined in testing specification documentation provided by Integrated
Metal Technology. The premise of testing is to simulate harsh loading
conditions that may be affiliated with various failure modes. Examples
of such loads could come in forms such as excessive weights applied from
individuals sitting, standing, or overloading desk and file products. The
system also must be capable of testing the customers full range of office
products.(see below for examples)

Our project schedule is maintained on Microsoft Project 4.1.
This includes all the timing for each of the tasks that we must complete
in order to finish the compression tester by July 31, 1998. Follow
