Major accomplishments since last report:
When last we left our heroes....
The table had been built to hold the flipper door template and the
other machinery. Due to an oversight on my part I had a meeting scheduled
with YoungBlood to discuss grippers but it was at the same time as the
Senior Project discussion so the meeting was canceled. I have re-scheduled
the meeting for Thursday so we should be able to finalize our design specifications
for the grippers. This coupled with Jeff Maxim's linkage design should
be the last step in our process. Then it's just a matter of final
assembly, debug and documentation.
Major problems since last report:
IMT is still are constraint. I have asked for an order of 5-10
"blank" flipper doors so that Aaron and I can work on a prototype design.
IMT is dragging their feet in implementing an ECO (engineering change order)
to get us a prototype and send it through their testing facilities or rather
the Design Yards testing lab (a Herman Miller research company).
Objectives for next week:
Continued assembly on the machine itself and getting the "blank" flippers to work on for a prototype. Continued documentation on machine design.
