Royal Plastics is a manufacturer of plastic injection molded components and assemblies located in Hudsonville, MI. With components as large as chair backs and as small as a quarters, Royal Plastics can handle many molding applications. Following is a description of the vast manufacturing techniques required to produce quality injection molded parts.

Royal out sources most of the mold building and focus mainly on the molding process. An average of three new molds per week are introduced this keeps things interesting. Once the engineering team certifies the mold. it heads to 1 of 4 production settings. Royal has set up mini companies inside their large manufacturing facility. This was done to keep the teams focused. Each mini company has 12 molding machines and personnel to operate the machines. When ordering a part, the paper work is set to the plant floor. The dye setter then installs the correct mold into the injection machine. The paper work also contains quality information to make sure the parts are produced to print. Once the machines are operational, they usually run by themselves with little operator intervention. The molded parts are either bulk packed for the customer or sent to the assembly area. The assembly area consists of ultrasonic welders, paint and labeling machines. Assembly is a small portion of the overall picture at Royal Plastics.

With Royal Plastics commitment to quality and pursuit of excellence, they will continue to produce high quality injection molded parts.
