I am currently employed with Topcraft Metal Products in Hudsonville,

Auger Project:
My first project at TMP was to
help design and build an auger system for moving shavings from a machine.
The shavings were transported from the end of a conveyor up into a shredder
where they were broken down for further processing. The system required a
great deal of fabricating, and all welds were made leak-proof. The bottom
auger was driven by a chain/sprocket assembly which was connected to the
existing conveyor. The main auger (longest one) was driven by a
belt/pulley assembly. I learned a great deal from this project, from
drive systems to improving my shop skills. Pictures are displayed below.
