PCB Assembly
Circuit board assembly is something you'll have to do yourself in EGR326. For senior projects or industrial use, you may want to have a contract manufacturer do assembly for you.
Circuit Board Construction
Here are some links on soldering:
Weller has some useful information on soldering tips, choice of flux, temperature, etc.
A good handbook on soldering is by H. Smith, "Quality Hand Soldering and Circuit Board Repair", 3rd. ed. Delmar/Thomson Learning, ISBN 0766828875.
Assembly Services
Here are some assembly companies I've used (successfully).
Nelson Specialties (in St. Joseph, MI!) does assembly, electromechanical assembly, conformal coating, component procurement. They say they also do PCB manufacturing.
Here are some other options I've come across (no experience with any of them).
