· General concepts are,

  1. · one or more robots
  2. · each robot may perform a variety of sub-assemblies
  3. · requires a conveyor and inspection station
  4. · A host computer must synchronize robot actions
  5. · A bad part rejection function should be available
  6. · An organized output should be used, e.g. pallets, or shipping crates.

 

· These tasks are common, but face stiff competition from fixed automation and manual labor.
